and continuing beginners. These classes build a solid foundation
in mind and body through working the preparatory stances and
seats, primary asanas, and basic breath work. Bandhas are introduced.
Prepares the student to learn the Shadow Yoga Prelude forms.
- a relaxation based class utilizing supported
postures for deep rest and rejuvenation. Some guided meditation
is also included. For all students with minimum of 6 months
experience in the Foundations classes. Meets one Sunday per
month. Check schedule for dates.
- a preparatory class to designed to open
the joints and muscles and teach the basics. Designed for
those who want a gradual lead-in for our regular beginner
/ foundations level 1-2 classes.
- we teach four Foundation Series on
a continual rotating basis. These meet weekly from 4 - 10
sessions and are by pre-registration. Please see the Foundations

- We teacher two Introductory Forms and
three Prelude Forms. These are taught in multisession courses.

- in these courses each student's practice
is individualized for their unique needs with the instructor
providing hands-on adjustment through the marma system. Knowledge
of one of the Shadow forms is required. This is the traditional
way of learning asana and brings faster progress than is possible
in a general group setting. Please refer to the Training
