This year-long intensive for experienced practitioners will be taught in four sessions (winter, spring, summer, and fall) and will focus on helping students understand and embody some of the key aspects which must be established in order for Hatha Yogic Sadhana to advance to more refined levels. Each session will focus on the following:
Winter 2020 (Jan to Mar):
Mastery of the core fundamental actions as the basis for all advanced practices
Making practice more efficient and potent through the process of skillful reduction
Spring 2020 (April to June):
DUE TO CANCELLATION, THE TOPIC FOR SPRING WILL NOW BE TAUGHT DURING THE SUMMER SESSION - see below
Summer 2020 (August):
Connections and triggers: working within the "field of relationships" to bring about greater ease and efficiency
Fall 2020 (Oct & Dec):
Improving the power and intensity of concentration as the gateway to a more profound sadhana
Building more consistency, steadiness and rhythm in Sadhana
This course will build sequentially over the duration of 2020. For the best learning students are strongly encouraged to commit and attend from the beginning if at all possible.
This course is designed to support students in Mark's Practitioner Training program. Other practitioners experienced with all three Shadow Yoga preludes and the Eight Palms short form of Nrtta Sadhana may be eligible after first consulting with Mark.
This course is taught progressively, so full participation is strongly recommended. Individual sessions may be attended only by students who are experienced with all three preludes and the Nrtta Sadhana Eight Palms. Please consult with Mark if you want to attend individual session(s).
