This 2020 Asana Intensive will be taught in three progressive sessions (spring, summer, and fall). The roll of asana in the Hatha Yogic Sadhana will be explored from different points of emphasis, with the overall theme being to enhance its corrective power at the structural, energetic, and psycho-emotional levels. In service of this objective, each seasonal session will focus on the following:
Spring 2020 (April to June):
Corrective Sadhana and the Outer and Inner Principles of asana practice
Summer 2020 (July & August):
Vinyasa Krama - the art of sequencing for maximum benefit and efficiency
Fall 2020 (Sept to Dec):
Asana Sthiti (fixity) - building capacity for greater staying power through the development of firmness and ease (sthiram sukham asanam)
Bandha Triyam, Kumbhaka, and absoprtion
This course will build sequentially from Spring through Fall 2020. For the best learning students are strongly encouraged to commit and attend from the beginning if at all possible.

This course is taught progressively, so full participation is strongly recommended. Individual sessions may be attended only by students who are experienced with all three preludes and the Nrtta Sadhana Eight Palms. Please consult with Mark prior to dropping in. Drop-in fee: $30
