NRTTA SADHANA
Eight Palms short form & primary asana
with Mark Horner & Judy Yu

Part 1 starts Sept 27, 2025
Part 2 starts Nov 8, 2025

Nrtta Sadhana (pure dance) involves the utilization of slight bodily movements within large bodily shapes (Karanas), practiced in sequential arrangement (Angahara), with rhythmic transitions. In contrast to performative dance arts which express outwardly, the energy cultivated through the Nrtta Sadhana is drawn inwards, and is thus devoid of any mood or color. This sadhana frees and circulates the life wind, concentrates and absorbs the mind, and sets the stage for asana/vinyasa and the internal aspects of Hatha Yoga. This two-part course will teach and refine the Asta Matrikas (eight palms) short form of the Nrtta Sadhana in full practice format, which includes primary asana/vinyasa and conclusion.
The teaching will develop sequentially through the two-part course. Therefore, Part 1 is prerequisite to Part 2.

All sessions conducted via Zoom will be recorded and participants will have access to the recordings through Jan 9, 2026.
