Nrtta and Asana Angahara
integration and refinement
with Mark Horner & Judy Yu
Sept 26 to Dec 19, 2026
12 sessions
The forms of the Nrtta Sadhana all serve to bring the parts of the body into a state of integration and harmonious rhythm, while bringing the mind into a state of absorption. This sets the stage for Asana Angahara (arrangement or sequence of asana), and the concluding practices, both of which will be explored in this course.
Over the past year we have progressively introduced several of the Nrtta forms. This two-part course will focus on refining and integrating that material while also introducing new aspects. The emphasis will be on helping students gain an embodied understanding of the role of the Nrtta forms in yogic sadhana. From this comes confidence, firmness, and a more effective and enjoyable sadhana.
All sessions conducted via Zoom will be recorded and participants will have access to the recordings through July 31, 2026.
PREREQUISITE for this course is at least one of the following Nrtta courses: Eight Palms short form, and/or the Lasya long form, and/or the Ananda Tandava form. The recordings of these courses are available to work with on your own. Follow the links. Contact Mark if you have questions.
